This site is a lot of things, a journal, a "blog", a collection of photos and thoughts of my travels, musings on history, philosophy, Christianity, and science, and also some technical information on Macs and PCs. Hope you find it useful and interesting! This site uses Quicktime "progressive" streaming (I'll be supporting ReadMedia and Windows Media in the near future.) Except for Quicktime technology from Apple Computer Corp., this site uses Open Source software, indicated below. Specifically, the computer hosting this site runs Red Hat Linux, Version 9.0, uses Apache as the web server, uses PHP to serve dynamic content, and stores data using a MySQL database server, all freely available, secure, very customizable, and of the highest quality. (Can you tell, I'm a little biased..). Well enough of that...

A typical foggy Sunday in SF. We got around 11:30 AM. Kiyomi wants me to lose weight so she had me make oatmeal without sugar for the both of us. She also wants to do some shopping this afternoon on Market street, but we'll have to walk downtown (it's about an hour's walk from here).
I'm still thinking about New Orleans, reports I've heard are that more relief is pouring in. Huge problems continue to exist in the Superdome where many were put.

†† Felt my donation to Jews For Jesus wasn't enough. Also gave $100.00 to the salvation army for disaster relief. I can't imagine the horror. I want to give more.
Walked downtown, taking about 1 hour (left at 2:00 PM), we arrived at 3:00 PM. Kiyomi went shopping at the San Francisco Shopping Center, I went over to the Apple Store. Had some cool new things - there was a demonstration of "iSight" a new video cam for the Mac.
I signed up for blog account (yabadaba.blogspot.com) - yaba stands for "Yet Another Blog for Andrew". but I think I like my own better because I have more control over the content and layout.
We got back just after 5:00 (we caught the bus home). Kiyomi made fried rice and miso for an early dinner Also had the bread I picked up last night on the way back from church. (it was walnut sourdough).
Spent most of the evening refining my blog site (blog.stantonweb.com) and also www.stantonweb.com
- added the ability to edit pages (without having to use the database manager, which is versatile, but a little cumbersome)
Got a call from mom and Ernest around 8:00 PM. They are just returning from their two weeks in Waikiki. Mom and I worked out a tentative schedule for coming here for Angie's wedding at the end of October - she'll come Thurs and spent a week with us. We'll rent a car and drive down to San Diego for the wedding on Sat. Should be fun!
